…that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and that he rose again on the third day victorious over sin and death. (Matthew 28:1-10; Romans 4:25)

…that the Holy Spirit works faith in people’s hearts through the power of the gospel in God’s Word and Holy Baptism. ( 1 Corinthians 12:3; Romans 10:17)

…that all who believe in Jesus as their Savior receive forgiveness for their sins and are considered righteous in the sight of God for Jesus’ sake. (Matthew 9:2; Romans 5:1)

…that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word, that it is true in all it says. (2 Timothy 3:16; John 17;17)

…that the Holy Spirit strengthens our faith through God’s Word and sacraments and helps us in living new lives that reflect our gratitude for all that God has done for us. (1 Peter 2:1-3; Titus 2:11-12)

…that Jesus will come again and will judge all people. All who believe will receive eternal life in heaven. All who do not believe will be condemned to eternal punishment in hell. (Matthew 25:31-46; John 3:16-18)
