Lori Holicky

I was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. My family moved to Belle Plaine when I was 7 from Austin, MN. My brother and I grew up here in Belle Plaine, where we attended Trinity Lutheran School through 8th grade. After graduating from Belle Plaine High School in 1998, I attended Minnesota State University-Mankato. In 2002, I graduated with a teaching license in K-6 elementary education and a specialty in 5-8 Social Studies.

During the past 22 years, I have taught in a variety of learning environments, as a 6th-grade teacher, substitute teacher, reading specialist, Migrant Head-start Teacher, Sunday School teacher, preschool teacher, and a home daycare provider.

My husband Doug and I have four children: Maddilyn, Lukas, Kaden, and Trevor. We live near New Prague and are members of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In my free time, I like spending time with my children and going to their many activities. I also enjoy reading, baking, and gardening. As a family, we like to camp, fish, go to car races, attend farm shows (especially the LeSueur County Pioneer Power), and snowmobile in the winter.

Working with children has always been my passion. I look forward to getting to know all of my students as unique individuals and share the love of learning with them. Now, I am overjoyed with the opportunity to also share the love of Jesus with God’s littlest lambs!
