Jr. Choir: Parents, On Nov. 5 at 4:30 P.M., there is a 500th Anniversary Twin Cities Area Reformation Service being held at St. Croix Lutheran High School. As part of the service, there is a mass Children’s Choir singing in two pieces, and they have invited any 5th-8th grade students who are interested to join in this choir. There are two pieces that the students would be involved in, both relatively easily learned. I would teach them to the interested students outside of Jr. Choir and music class. A rehearsal schedule is still coming, but all rehearsals with the mass choir would be on that day, November 5th. We need to let the director know how many students are interested by October 20th. I believe this is a great opportunity for the students to work with a skilled director and a large group. In one of the songs, the children even get to sing with the choirs from West Lutheran High School, St. Croix Lutheran High School, and Martin Luther College! I greatly encourage your students to consider being a part of this choir. Let me know if you are interested as soon as possible. Before/After School Care: Trinity’s Before/After School Care Program with Stephanie Freeland, the supervisor, is off to a good start. It opens at 7:00 am and runs until 8:05 am when school begins. Students who arrive early by bus go to Before School Care but are not be charged. After School Care runs from 3:05 pm when school ends to 6:00 pm. A typical day includes time for a snack, physical activity, homework, and devotion. (We provide milk or juice after school, but students are expected to bring their own snacks.) Students in 6th Grade and lower will need to use After School Care if they stay after school and wait for a later practice. Registration forms are available in the office.
