We are getting down there, this week is our last full week but of course it has twist. On Friday is the Trinity track meet. Please remember to dress your child appropriately for running, jumping, and having fun out at the Belle Plaine track. All students should come to school with a lunch that can be eaten outdoors, a water bottle, and of course sunscreen. Also please help your child dress in a shirt representing their team color.
On Thursday the students will be taking a math test, the chapter 12 science test, and will be taking the Unit 30 spelling test. Due to the track meet there will not be a spelling test on Friday so please make sure they are prepared to do their best on Thursday.
In Social Studies the students will be working on an independent research project about an inventor and one of their inventions and then will prepare a power point presentation. This will be something that we will work on at school during the week and will share the following week. If they don’t finish at school then they will need to finish at home over the weekend. All of the information pertaining to this project will be available through google classroom.
We have just over a week left to hit our Accelerated Reader goals for the month of May. Please keep encouraging your child to read 15-20 minutes each night at home.
